The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has signed a loan agreement amounting to approximately Rs 28.09 billion (JPY49.85 billion Yen) for the construction of the second phase of the Chennai Peripheral Ring Road Project. The project includes constructing a 26.3 km Peripheral Ring Road and introducing an intelligent transportation system (ITS).
