Stormwater channels and STP get inaugurated in Dwarka

Stormwater channels and sewage treatment plant (STP) have been inaugurated in Dwarka on February 20, 2024. The project has been completed by the Delhi Development Authority at the cost of Rs 3 billion. It included setting up of island fountains, STP of 7 million litres per day (mld) capacity at stormwater channel 2 and stormwater channel 5 of 9.5 mld capacity. The rejuvenation work of stormwater channels 2 and 5 will address the challenges related to the existing drainage system while providing additional green space and beautifying the Dwarka sub-city.
