North Central Railway (NCR) is expected to deploy KAVACH system on a total of 297 locomotives by June 2024. Further, NCR is planning to fully equip the zone with KAVACH by December 2024. Besides, the successful trial run on the 80 km long Mathura-Palwal route for KAVACH was organised in NCR’s Agra division for a Vande Bharat train with a speed of 160 km per hour (Kmph) on February 16, 2024. Following this, the work on equipping KAVACH on the Delhi-Howrah railway line and the Delhi-Mumbai railway line is going on at fast pace.
