15 mld TTP in Loni gets approval from centre

The central government has approved a 15 mld tertiary treatment plant (TTP) in Loni, Ghaziabad under the Amrit Yojna 2.0. The project worth Rs 860 million is targeted to address the groundwater exploitation in the city. A detailed project report of the project has been prepared. The water table of Loni is depleting rapidly as many industries have been using groundwater for their water requirements. This TTP will be used only by factories located in Roop Nagar, Arya Nagar, Tronica city, etc. The tender for the project is expected to be floated soon.
