Road asset monetisation programme surpasses Rs 1 trillion

National Highways Authority of India has achieved a significant milestone with its asset monetisation programme surpassing Rs 1 trillion. The latest accomplishment includes raising a record concession value of Rs 156.24 billion through InvIT Round 3, monetising 10 stretches spanning approximately 890 km across Assam, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh as well as West Bengal. The monetised value is expected to be realised by March 2024. Notably, NHAI’s overall asset monetisation programme has surpassed Rs 1 trillion, comprising Rs 423.34 billion through the toll-operate-transfer mode, Rs 261.25 billion through Infrastructure Investment Trusts, and Rs 420 billion through securitisation.
