REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited, has handed over five project-specific SPVs formed for interstate transmission system (ISTS) projects through a tariff-based competitive bidding process.
Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, Indigrid 2 Limited and Indigrid 1 Limited (Consortium), and Apraava Energy Private Limited have emerged as successful bidders for the Ministry of Power’s ISTS transmission projects. RECPDCL was the bid process coordinator. Additionally, RECPDCL has handed over letters of award to successful bidders, namely, Avaada Energy and Juniper Green Energy Private Limited for setting up Damodar Valley Corporation’s 100 MW of wind power projects. These LoAs were granted under the scheme for “Flexibility in Generation and Scheduling of Thermal/Hydro Power Stations through Bundling with Renewable Energy and Storage Power” of the MoP.
