Edelweiss arm raises Rs 80 billion for infrastructure fund

Edelweiss Alternatives has raised over Rs 80 billion for its second infrastructure fund, Edelweiss Alternatives Infrastructure Yield Plus II. Funds have been raised from both domestic and offshore investors, aggregating to more than double the amount raised for the debut fund. Over 70 per cent of the capital has been raised from domestic investors such as family offices as well as institutional investors such as private insurance companies.
