The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) has finalised a detailed project report (DPR) for the extension of Mumbai Metro Line 3 underground corridor to Navy Nagar, Colaba. As per the DPR, the Mumbai metro Line 3 will be extended by 5 Km, 2.5 Kms in each direction by MMRC. If sanctioned, this 5 km extension will provide the corridor with at least four additional stabling lines. The project is expected to commence in 2025 after the completion and commencement of commercial operations on Line 3.
