Lohegaon WSS in Pune

The government of Maharashtra laid the foundation stone for the development of Wagholi and Lohegaon water supply scheme (WSS) in Pune, Maharashtra on February 11, 2024. The project involves the construction of 13 new overhead tanks, augmentation of 11 existing tanks, laying a trunk line to fetch water and setting up a network of 500 km long distribution lines. The 60 million litres per day (mld) Bhama Askhed project has been considered the primary source of water. A trunk line will be laid to fetch water to the distribution network and overhead tanks. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 2.3 billion.
