GoH approved formation of GMRL for implementation of HUDA City Centre-Cyber City Metro Rail Project

The Government of Haryana (GoH) has approved the formation of Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL) for implementation of the HUDA City Centre-Cyber City Metro Rail Project. GMRL will be provided with initial authorised capital of Rs 200 million, with GoH acquiring a 50 per cent stake valued at Rs 100 million. The project involves development of 28.5 km long metro route in Gurugram, Haryana. It is likely to implement the project at an estimated cost of Rs 54.52 billion. The project involves two corridors: corridor I (Huda City Centre to Cyber City) as the main corridor spanning 26.65 km and consists of 26 stations; corridor II (Spur from Basai Village to Dwarka Expressway) spanning 1.85 km and consists of one station.
