The MoRTH has approved an outlay of Rs. 17.42 billion for the construction of the four-lane N. Kawnpui (N.Mualvum) – Sairang section on NH-6 in Mizoram. Spanning 24.41 km, the project will be executed under the EPC mode as part of the national highway (Original) – North East (NH(O)-NE) project.
The strategic project aims to bypass heavily populated areas, reduce congestion, and enhance road safety in Aizawl city. Additionally, it aims to shorten the existing national highway by 25 km from Vairengte to Sairang.
