Municipal Corporation for Greater Mumbai (MCGM) completed the tunnel digging work on a 3.56 km stretch of Bapat Nalla to Dharavi wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) tunnel under the Mithi River Rejuvenation Project. Currently, the second phase of tunnel excavation from Kanakia Zelion (Santacruz-Chembur Road) to LBS Road has finished. With this, about 64 per cent of construction work under the project has been completed. The project is expected to be completed by September 2025.
