Site clearance granted for Sabarimala Greenfield Airport

The central government has reportedly granted site and defence clearance for the Sabarimala greenfield airport project in Kerala. The preparation of the environmental impact study report has been completed and is to be submitted for approval to the Ministry of Forest, Environment and Climate Change. Further, the land acquisition process has been initiated for 2,570 acres of land for the construction of the airport.
