The prime minister virtually inaugurated the foundation laying ceremony for Phase I of NLC India Limited’s thermal power project, estimated at Rs 272.12 billion, in Talabira, Jharsuguda district, Odisha. Upon completion, the 2,400 MW plant is expected to supply 17.87 BUs of electricity to Odisha and neighbouring states at competitive tariffs.
