According to the latest data released by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), over 7,000 5G base transceiver stations (BTSs) were deployed across India during January 2024. As per the data, Uttar Pradesh (958), Karnataka (849), West Bengal (622), Tamil Nadu (537) and Rajasthan (503) were the top five states in terms of addition of 5G BTSs during the month.
