Flight operations at Naini-Saini Airport in Pithoragarh resumed on January 30, 2024, after a hiatus of more than three years. Operations at the airport were suspended in early 2020. FlyBig will reportedly connect Dehradun and Pithoragarh using a 19-seater aircraft thrice a week. The travel time will be one hour by air, a reduction from 11 hours by road. Services will also commence to Pantnagar and Hindon airports. Further, night landing facilities will also be created at the airport.
