MoPSW constitutes a high-level task force to oversee IMC establishment

A high-level task force has been constituted by the MoPSW to oversee the establishment of the Indian Maritime Centre (IMC). The task force will provide policy direction for setting up the IMC for smooth and sustainable operationalisation. The broad terms of reference will include deliberating upon the functioning, scope, and best structure of the IMC, as well as its membership/constitution and standard operating procedures. This involves deciding on by-laws and internal procedures for IMC, including defining the role of expert committees. The Indian Ports Authority will provide funds and secretariat support for the formation of the IMC.
