L&T receives LoA for implementation of Palashbari-Sualkuchi Bridge Project

Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T) has received the letter of award (LoA) for the implementation of the Palashbari-Sualkuchi Four Lane Extradosed PSC Bridge Project (Assam Bridge Project-II (ABP-II)). The project involves the construction of a four-lane extradosed PSC bridge over the River Brahmaputra connecting Palashbari and Sualkuchi, including viaducts, approaches and river training works. The project will have a 3.6 km long cable-stayed bridge portion, along with a 5.61 km approach on the Palashbari side and a 3 km approach on the Sualkuchi side, including wetland approach viaducts. The maximum span of the extradosed cable-stayed portion will be 165 metres, built under the engineering, procurement and construction mode at an estimated cost of around Rs 25 billion. The project is being funded by the New Development Bank.
