Haryana government approved formation of GMRL for implementation of HUDA City Centre-Cyber City Metro Rail Project

The Haryana government has approved the formation of Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL) for implementation of the HUDA City Centre-Cyber City Metro Rail Project. GMRL will be provided an initial authorised capital of Rs 200 million, with the government acquiring a 50 per cent stake valued at Rs 100 million. The project involves the development of a 28.5 km-long metro route in Gurugram, Haryana, at an estimated cost of Rs 54.52 billion. The project involves two corridors – Corridor I (Huda City Centre to Cyber City) is the main corridor, spanning 26.65 km and consisting of 26 stations; while Corridor II (Spur from Basai village to Dwarka Expressway) spans 1.85 km and consists of one station.
