Green hydrogen plant by BPCL soon at Cochin Airport

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) will reportedly set up a green hydrogen plant at the Cochin International Airport, making it the first in the country to do so. The 1,000 kW plant will be built and operated by BPCL. The initial output from the plant is to be directed towards the powering of vehicles at the airport. It will also oversee the establishment of the integrated green hydrogen plant and a fuelling station, as well as provide technology and manage operations. Meanwhile, Cochin International Airport Limited will provide the required land, water and green energy resources. The airport was also the first in the world to be fully powered by solar energy.
