On February 7, 2024, Air India SATS Airport Services Limited (AISATS) announced the commencement of domestic cargo handling services at Ranchi’s Birsa Munda Airport. They are the official operations and management service provider at the airport. The infrastructure at the airport will be levelled up to facilitate faster movement of freight and improve air connectivity for Jharkhand. AISATS also aims to provide airlines with solutions for cargo handling, processing and warehousing needs at the airport and it is also capable of handling pharmaceuticals, perishables and machinery.
