State identifies land for development of airport at Ekta Nagar (Kevadia)

The Government of Gujarat (GoG) has identified the land required for the development of a greenfield airport at Ekta Nagar (Kevadia) in the state. The land identified at Kherkuva, Bhadarva and Sureva villages, Tilakwada in Narmada district is likely to be utilised for the development of a 3,000 m long runway. Of the total land, about 210 sq m is private land, for which the state has granted its approval to commence acquisition. Meanwhile, the AAI is working on its pre-feasibility report. Earlier, the state signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with AAI for the development of 11 greenfield airports.
