Korba Municipal Corporation and NTPC sign MoU for development of STP in Korba

The Korba Municipal Corporation and National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the development of a sewage treatment plant (STP) in Korba, Chhattisgarh. The scope of the project includes the construction of a 33 million litres per day (mld) STP at an estimated cost of Rs 1,301.7 million. Along with that, a 20 mld tertiary treatment plant will also be developed for Rs 387.8 million. The water will be used by NTPC for its plant and cooling systems.
