IR is likely to commence a total of 10 Vande Bharat sleeper trains from March 2024. The trial runs for the same are expected to start in April 2024. It will have both Air Conditioned (AC) and non-AC coaches with sleeping berths. These trains are being manufactured at Integral Coach Factory (Chennai), Modern Coach Factory (Rae Bareilly) and Rail Coach Factory (Kapurthala). The expected initial routes of the trains include Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Howrah.
