As of January 31, 2024, a total of 82 Vande Bharat train services are operational on the broad-gauge electrified networks of IR. The sectional speed of these trains has been increased to 130 kmph (kilo metre per hour) on total 10,981 rkm (route kilometres) which includes Golden Quadrilateral, Diagonal routes and B routes. Also, the work is underway to increase the sectional speed to 160 kmph over New Delhi-Mumbai (including Vadodara-Ahmedabad) and New Delhi-Howrah (including Kanpur-Lucknow) routes.
