Naini-Saini airport resumes flight operations

Flight operations from the Naini-Saini airport in Pithoragarh resumed on January 30, 2024, after more than three years. The operations at the airport were suspended in early 2020. Flybig is to reportedly connect Dehradun and Pithoragarh through operations using a 19-seater aircraft thrice a week. The travel time would be one hour by air, a reduction from 11 hours by road. Services would also commence for Pantnagar and Hindon airport. Further, night landing facilities would also be created at the airport.
