MoF grants preliminary approval for two port projects in Lakshadweep

The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has granted preliminary approval for the development of western side port facilities at Kadamat and Kalpeni Islands in Lakshadweep. The Union Territory of Lakshadweep Administration will proceed with the required clearances and initiate the tendering process for the projects. The development of western side port facilities at Kadamat Island and Kalpeni Island is expected to entail an investment of Rs 1.08 billion and Rs 1.4 billion, respectively. The completion period for both projects is 24 months.
