The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has sanctioned funds worth Rs 13.13 billion for the Aizawl Two-Lane Bypass Project (Sairang-Phaibawk section) (NH-6) (Package 2). Package 2 involves the construction of the 2.5 km long twin tube uni directional Aizawl bypass tunnel and 2.1 km long approaches from 10.6 km to 15.2 km on the Sairang-Phaibawk section of NH-6 in Mizoram. It is being implemented in EPC mode under the Bharatmala Pariyojana.
