Special VFR operations approved for Gondia airport

The DGCA has approved special visual flight rules (VFRs) for Gondia airport in Maharashtra, enabling flights to operate in low visibility conditions to and from the airport. The move is part of the efforts to address flight delays and cancellations at small airports due to low visibility. The approval was received by IndiGo for its ATR 72-600 type aircraft for the special VFR operations to and from the airport.
