Powergrid acquires two transmission projects in Rajasthan

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (Powergrid) has acquired two project SPVs, Ramgarh II Transmission Limited and Beawar Dausa Transmission Limited. This acquisition is part of the transmission system projects designed for power evacuation from the renewable energy zone (REZ) in Rajasthan, specifically targeting 20 GW under Phase III, Part C1 and Part H. Powergrid has acquired two other SPVs, Vataman Transmission Limited and Koppal II Gadag II Transmission Limited, from Power Finance Corporation Consulting Limited to implement transmission projects under the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) route. It has also acquired Neemrana II Bareilly Transmission Limited, the project SPV to establish the “transmission system for evacuation of power from Rajasthan REZ Ph-IV (Part-1) (Bikaner Complex): PART-D”, on a build-own-operate-transfer basis through the TBCB route.
