The Ministry of Power (MoP) has notified the draft Electricity (Rights of Consumers) Second Amendment Rules, 2023. As per the draft, the distribution licensee shall provide individual connections for electricity supply to owners(s) or occupier(s) of any premises in a group housing society, residential colony, resident welfare association or similar body registered with the appropriate government on their request, in the manner prescribed by the appropriate commission.
