The Ministry of Coal has launched the ninth round of commercial coal mine auctions. In this round, a total of 26 coal mines will be offered, including three under the CM (SP) Act, 2015; and 23 under the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) [MMDR] Act, 1957. Among these, seven coal mines have been fully explored, while 19 have been partially explored. Additionally, five coal mines are being offered under the second attempt at the seventh round of auctions, comprising four CMSP coal mines and one MMDR coal mine. Among these, four have been fully explored, and one partially explored.
The Adani Group has announced the establishment of the world’s largest green energy park, in the Rann of Kutch, Gujarat. The project will cover 726 square km of land in the Rann desert and is set to generate 30 GW of power, catering to the energy needs of over 20 million homes.
