MoPSW constitutes a high-level task force to oversee IMC establishment

A high-level task force has been constituted by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) to oversee the establishment of the Indian Maritime Centre (IMC). The task force will provide policy direction for setting up IMC for smooth and sustainable operationalisation. The broad terms of reference will include deliberating upon the functioning, scope and best structure of the IMC as well as its membership/constitution and standard operating procedures, deciding by-laws and internal procedures for IMC, including the role of expert committees. The Indian Ports Authority will provide funds and secretariat support for the formation of IMC.
