Indian Railways (IR) plans to launch 60 new Vande Bharat trains in 2024. For this, 35 pairs of the cities have been identified for the trains’ route and case studies are underway for another 50 pairs of cities. About 18 new Vande Bharat routes are likely to be launched by June 2024 which includes Mumbai to Shegaon, Belagavi to Pune, Raipur to Varanasi, Kolkata to Rourkela among others. The Vande Bharat train service is likely to commence between Saharsa in Bihar and New Delhi soon.
