The government has signed a loan agreement with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for an official development assistance of Rs 226.27 billion for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad high speed rail (HSR) project. The project involves the development of the 508.17 km long Mumbai-Ahmedabad HSR corridor in Maharashtra and Gujarat, with an investment of Rs 1,080 billion.
