GAIL (India) Limited has signed a deal with Vitol Asia Private Limited for supply of around one million tonnes per annum (mtpa) liquefied natural gas (LNG) for a period of 10 years, starting from 2026. Vitol would supply LNG to GAIL on a pan India basis to meet the country’s rising natural gas demand. GAIL is a leading natural gas company, operating over 16,000 km pipeline network across the country. It is engaged in gas trading, transmission, liquefied petroleum gas production and transmission, LNG regasification, petrochemicals, CGD, exploration and production.
