Centre approves 1,022 km long roads in Arunachal Pradesh

The central government has granted approval for the construction of 1,022 km of roads in Arunachal Pradesh under the Vibrant Village Program, ensuring last mile connectivity in remote areas of the state. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has sanctioned 105 road projects along the China border in Arunachal Pradesh, estimated to cost Rs 22.05 billion.
This initiative, launched on February 15, 2023, is part of the Vibrant Village Programme with a financial outlay of Rs 48 billion for 2022-23 to 2025-26. The move is expected to bring significant ease to the lives of people in border areas and mark a substantial boost to last-mile connectivity.
