The central government has granted Rs 17.82 billion for the construction of a strategic road project in Arunachal Pradesh, extending to the Line of Actual Control with China. This 82 km greenfield road from Pango to Jorging in the upper Siang district aims to significantly reduce travel time for security forces, enhancing their efficiency in reaching border areas.
The project, comprising Package-I and II, is strategically crucial for establishing year-round connectivity to villages in the region, fostering socio-economic development in the hilly areas of the district.
