The central government has inaugurated the Baghpat sewerage interception and diversion (I&D) and STP project on January 4, 2024. The scope of the project included the construction of a 14 mld STP and I&D network of 2.4 km on a design-build-operate-transfer basis under the Namami Gange Programme. The project was constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 773.6 million.
