IndiGrid has bagged a letter of intent from REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited for establishment of two greenfield inter-state transmission projects. The projects won as a part of tariff-based competitive bidding process, will be developed on the basis of build, own, operate, and transfer model for a timeframe of 35 years. With a construction timeline of around 24 months for each of the project, the projects are estimated to cost more than Rs 10 billion. With yearly transmission costs of approximately Rs 530 million after completion, the first project involves energy evacuation from the Dhule 2 GW renewable energy zone. With transmission charges of around Rs 625 million yearly after completion, the second project is focused on implementing the western region expansion scheme XXXIII, Part-C.
