In a significant development, India and Nepal have signed a long-term agreement for the export of 10,000 MW of power to India over the next decade. The agreement, signed during the seventh meeting of the Nepal-India Joint Commission, marks a crucial step in bilateral cooperation to strengthening energy ties between the two nations. Additionally, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for collaboration in renewable energy was inked between the Nepal Electricity Authority and NTPC Limited during the same event.
