Centre will inaugurate the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link on January 12, 2024. The project comprises a 22 km-long, 6-tier bridge (3+3 lanes with 2 emergency lanes) connecting Shivdi in Mumbai city to Nhava on the mainland.
It includes interchanges at Sewri in Mumbai and Shivaji Nagar, Jassi, and Chirle on national highway 4B at the Navi Mumbai end. The rehabilitation of project-affected individuals has been completed, and compensation has been provided to fishermen affected by the project’s implementation in line with government policies.
