UPNEDA issues tender for 500 MW rooftop solar projects

The Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has issued a request for proposals to develop grid-connected rooftop solar projects aggregating 500 MW. To be developed under renewable energy service company model on a net metering basis, the projects will be set up on government or semi government buildings, including other institutions in the state. Although a single project may comprise several rooftop units, each unit has the capability to connect to the grid independently and may be equipped with individual meters.
