The Kerala government has sanctioned funds worth Rs 3.78 billion for the development of the Kochi Metro Rail Project Phase II on December 4, 2023. The project involves the development of an 11.17 km long metro rail network from Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium to Infopark via Kakkanad as an extension of Phase I in Kerala at an investment of Rs 19.57 billion.
