As per the latest data released by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), nearly 400,000 5G base transceiver stations (BTSs) have been installed in India as of November 30, 2023. The number of 5G BTSs deployed in the country increased from 385,572 at the end of October 2023 to 397,923 at the end of November 2023, a month-on-month addition of 12,351 units.
