DP World inaugurated a dedicated rail freight service named SARAL on the route between Surat’s Hazira port town and Delhi-NCR on November 30, 2023. SARAL stands for sustainable, assured, reliable and agile logistics. The rail freight service will connect important markets in south Gujarat, such as Surat, Vapi, Valsad, Vadodara, Ankleshwar and Bharuch, to the markets in and around Delhi-NCR, Haryana, eastern Rajasthan, south Punjab and western Uttar Pradesh.
