The Ministry of Coal has launched the 9th round of commercial coal mine auctions. In the upcoming round, a total of 26 coal mines will be offered, including three under the CM (SP) Act 2015 and 23 under the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) (MMDR) Act 1957. Among these, seven coal mines are fully explored, while 19 are partially explore. Additionally, five coal mines are being offered under the second attempt of round 7 of commercial coal, comprising four CMSP coal mines and one MMDR coal mine. Among these, four are fully explored, and one is partially explored.
