Ayodhya airport to witness completion soon

The first phase of the Ayodhya International Airport is targeted for completion soon. Construction work has progressed rapidly following the allocation of 821 acres of land by Uttar Pradesh. The first phase of the airport will be spread across 65,000 square feet. Works are under way for the construction of a 2,200-metre-long runway capable of landing Boeing 737, Airbus 319 and Airbus 320 aircraft. Approval for the second phase, spanning 50,000 square metres, will be sought soon. This phase will involve the expansion of the runway from 2,200 metres to 3,700 metres to land international aircraft such as the Boeing 787 and Boeing 777.
