UPJN proposed development of STPs and sewer lines in Sambhal district under AMRUT 2.0 and SBM 2.0

The Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (UPJN) has proposed the development of sewage treatment plants (STPs) and sewer lines for urban local bodies in Sambhal district under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) 2.0 and the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) 2.0. These plants will be constructed at Sambhal, Sirsi, Babrala, Chandausi, Bahjoi, Gawan, Narauli and Gunnaur. Of these, Sambhal, Sirsi, Babrala, Chandausi, Bahjoi, and Gawan have identified lands for the construction of STPs and have sent the proposal to UPJN for approval. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 17.5 billion.
