Operations at PP plant under Vadinar refinery expansion to commence by June 2024

Commercial operations at the 450,000 tonnes per annum (tpa) polypropylene (PP) plant under the Vadinar refinery expansion are likely to commence by June 2024. Vadinar refinery expansion encompasses capacity expansion of the refinery from 20 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) to 46 mtpa. Additionally, it involves the establishment of a petrochemical complex which includes a 450,000 tpa propylene recovery unit, a PP plant of similar capacity and a 200,000 tonnes methyl tertiary-butyl ether plant. The project is being implemented by Nayara Energy Limited entailing an investment of Rs 1,300 billion.
